The Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile race running from Lafayette Square in downtown New Orleans to Audubon Park uptown and back. The post race party venue is the beautiful and historic Lafayette Square.
Medallions will be presented to ALL Half-Marathon race finishers.
Saturday, October 27, 2018. The Half Marathon will start at 7:00 a.m.
Runners will start in waves:
7:00 a.m.: Competitive Runners ( pace per mile at 8:00 minutes or under)
7:02 a.m.: Fitness Runners ( pace per mile at 12:00 per mile or under)
7:05 a.m.: Casual Runners, ALL Walkers (pace slower than 12 minutes per mile)
Both the Half Marathon course and the 5K course are walker-friendly.
The post-race activities, including refreshments and live music by local musicians, will start at 8:30 a.m. and continue until noon.

To raise funds for Children’s Hospital, promote your health and fitness, and have a great time! And there's something in it for you, too. All Half Marathon registrants will receive a technical shirt and a finishers' medallion. All participants will have admission to the post race party featuring free food, beer, drinks and live music.

You’re running not only for yourself, but for the 223,309 Primary and Specialty Care Clinic Visits, 50,000 children who come to our Emergency Department each year, and 7,079 Inpatient visits every year at Children’s Hospital. You’ve made a commitment to the kids of our region; to ensure they all have access to the only free-standing, full service pediatric hospital in Louisiana and the Gulf South. With your help, the funds raised by the Jazz Half Marathon & 5k will be put to work immediately:
- Enabling Children’s Hospital to provide critical care for the sickest children and babies
