2019 Jazz Half Marathon & 5K

Thanks to everyone who joined us Saturday, October 26, 2019 in Lafayette Square as we raced and rallied as #ChampionsofChildrens for the strong and brave patients at Children's Hospital! Thanks for your support!

Why Jazz Half?

You're Running for the Patients of Children's Hospital

The Party. The Jazz Half Marathon & 5K boasts one of the best post-race parties around. Runners enjoy Louisiana food favorites like Jambalaya and Red Beans and Rice while famous New Orleans musicians entertain the crowds at Lafayette Square. Irma Thomas, Trombone Shorty, Kermit Ruffins, and Rockin Dopsie, Jr. are just some of the artists who have performed at previous Jazz Half marathons. The Mardi Gras Indians — icons of New Orleans culture — will also be on hand to take photos with runners.

Volunteer for Jazz Half 2019!

Each year, we require dozens of volunteers to help perform a variety of tasks, including food service, wristband sales, etc.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and must have their own transportation to and from the event. We ask that volunteers arrive at 6 a.m. and stay until the conclusion of the Post-Race Party, usually around noon.

All volunteers receive a free t-shirt, food and drinks. And of course, great music at the Post-Race Party! CLICK HERE to register as a volunteer today!
